I spent my childhood and formative years living in the City of Lisburn and in the country between Lisburn and Ballinderry.
I was educated at Queens University Belfast, where I read Law and obtained a degree in Law in 1990. In 1992 I graduated from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland.
Having served my due time as an apprentice, I worked in several Law firms ranging from General Practice to Bankruptcy Law, and company liquidations. Eventually I joined a large Law Firm in Belfast, where I built up and developed the Family Law department.
In 2003 I decided to open my own practice (at Carlisle Circus, Belfast) as a sole practitioner specialising in Family Law.
The practice has grown rapidly, and we aim to provide a high level of professional expertise in an area of law which has experienced considerable expansion and change within recent years.
I am a member of, and sit on, several bodies associated with Family Law in Northern Ireland including: The Family Law Committee of the Law Society, The Children Order Panel, The Belfast Family Business Committee, Association of Family Solicitors for Children (AFSC) (past Chairperson )
